Fabric stentor support - has an angled rod to support fabric without risking friction damage

The support mechanism for a woven or knitted fabric, held in a stentor frame, uses a support surface aligned at an angle to the direction of fabric flow. The supporting surface is provided by a rod in a zig-zag profile, the rod being of a polished metal or fitted with an abrasion-free surface cladding material such as polytetra fluorethylene. The support is mounted to the stentor frame dryer with the senstor chain pathways. The support ranges into the drying zone of the equipment, or alternatively further static fabric supports can be located in the drying zone. Any additional static carrier is mounted on a cross beam between the free-standing supports of the dryer. The design prevents friction damage to the fabric structure and any applied dyestuff while passing through the equipment.
