PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for correcting the skew of a stator core and a skew correction method with which it is possible to easily correct the circumferential skew of a stator core caused by the insertion of an electric conductor into each slot or the torsional bending of the tip of the electric conductor in the circumferential direction.SOLUTION: Provided is a stator core 2 skew correction device 10 for correcting the circumferential skew of a substantially toric stator core 2 in which a plurality of steel sheets 20 having on outer circumference a plurality of protrusions 21 protruding outward are laminated so that the protrusions 21 are in a row in the direction of lamination, the stator core 2 skew correction device 10 comprising: a support member 71 capable of supporting a protuberance 5 formed by a plurality of protrusions 21 in a row; a first pressing mechanism 72 for pressing the support member 71 toward the radian inward side; and a rotating mechanism 73 for moving rotationally the support member 71, while pressing the support member 71 and thereby supporting the protuberance 5 from the outside, in a direction in which the circumferential skew is corrected by a revolving shaft 731, and thereby correcting the circumferential skew.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
