<p>1492277 Fourdrinier fabric P H SLAUGHTER 21 Nov 1974 [21 Nov 1973] 50555/74 Heading D1K A fourdrinier fabric is formed as a two or three ply belt joined by binder warps 17 and having an open area in each ply of about 9%, the yarns in the upper ply being smaller in cross sectional area but more numerous than those in the lower ply. The fabric may be three ply with the lowest ply again formed with thicker yarns whilst retaining the 9% open area. Stuffer warps may also be incorporated. The yarns may be multi- or monofilament or man made staple fibre yarns; they may also be metal with or without a plastics coating and may be of nylon, acrylic, polypropylene or polyester.</p> |
