The present invention relates to a battery protection circuit which is capable of effectively preventing an overcurrent and an overheat, and a package of a battery protection circuit which can be implemented with a compact size at low costs. The package of a battery protection circuit includes the battery protection circuit having one side electrically connected to an electrode terminal of a battery bare cell and the other side electrically connected to a charger or electronic equipment; a primary protection circuit for sensing an over-discharge and/or an overcharge to block the charge/discharge of the battery and having a first projection integrated circuit (IC) and a first group field effect transistor; and a secondary protection circuit for sensing the overcurrent and/or overheat to block the charge/discharge of the battery bare cell, electrically connected between an electrode terminal of the battery bare cell and the primary protection circuit, and having a second projection integrated circuit (IC) and a second group field effect transistor.
