<p>1492422 Oil dispersing composition P FUSEY 3 Feb 1975 [25 July 1974] 4620/75 Heading C5D A composition for converting hydrocarbons and fats into aqueous, biodegradable emulsions comprises reacting more than one mole of an aliphatic monobasic C 3 -C 8 carboxylic acid at ambient temperature with one mole of a trialkyl amine or trialkanolamine with the addition of from 1 to 10% by weight of a phospho-aminolipid and adding NH 3 to adjust the pH to from 7 to 9. The composition may be diluted with water or a benzene-free petroleum solvent such as white spirit, n-hexane, nheptane, n-octane, petroleum ether, or a heavy solvent. The acid may be hexanoic, ethyl-2- hexanoic or octanoic acid. The phosphoaminolipid may be lecithin.</p> |
