<p>An improvement in a process for recovering residual amounts of ethylene in ethylene chlorination effluents is disclosed, whereby ureacted chlorine is virtually eliminated. Elimination of the chlorine is accomplished by reacting it with the clorinated hydrocarbons in the stream over a novel ferric chloride catalyst mixture.</p> |
