The musical instrument of the so-called rod type is similar to a xylophone and with a series of supporting tone rods made from wood, metal, plastic or a combination of any of those, coupled to resonance boxes, which amplify the sound. The tone rods (1) form a series of diminishing lengths. The sidewall (2) is fitted below the junction lines. The vertical partition walls (3) extend to the base (4) to form compartments. The walls of the resonance box and the walls of the compartments are fitted otherwise than a right angle with respect to the plane occupied by the tone rods.
