The prefabricated duct has a trough shaped body used for running and protecting cables. The longitudinal external edges of the sidewalls of the trough shaped body are designed with inwardly pointing assembly flanges which engage over clamps or support brackets. The cross section of the U-shaped assembly brackets (6) are made with inwardly extending splits (7) which engage the inner edge sections of the duct flanges (4). The brackets (6) are made with lips (8) with a screw hole (9) for an assembly ring (11) for junction boxes or sockets (12). Along the inside walls are fitted stiffeners (14) of E-shaped section of flexible sheet material.
