<p>An automatic document handler for supplying documents singly from a supply tray to the platen of a processing apparatus such as a copying machine. Documents are separated from the document supply and transported to a multiple document rejecting mechanism where excess documents are driven back toward the document tray, the rejecting mechanism being subsequently retracted from the document path to minimize the drag force on the document being forwarded and provide a more positive forward drive force thereon.</p> |
