<p>Prepn. of anthraquinone dyes of formula (I) (in which R is 6-24C alkyl, or cyclohesyl opt. substd. with alkyl, alkoxy or halogen; R1 and R2 are 1-6C alkyl; ring A may be substd. with 1-2 halogen, OH or lower alkyl or alkoxy gps.) by sulphonation of cpds. of formula (II), (in which R' and R" are H or acyl, >=1 being H). Used for dyeing or printing of natural or synthetic polyamides, polyvinyl alcohol, cellulose, viscose, basic-modified polypropylene, polyacrylonitrile, polyurethanes, paper, leather, etc. in blue-green shades. Dyes have very good wet fastness, esp. to washing, water and perspiration, and good general fastness.</p> |
