PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system in transport equipment for equalizing and providing the optimal information corresponding to the position of transport equipment following its movement to a transmission/reception terminal in the transport equipment.SOLUTION: An information providing system includes: a synchronizing signal transmitter mounted in transport equipment; and a server. The synchronizing signal transmitter includes: a position measurement part for measuring the position of the transport equipment to grasp the measurement position; a position information storage part for storing the position information of a predetermined position as a position related to the provision source of information content transmitted from the server; a proximity determination part for determining whether or not a distance between the measurement position and the predetermined position is within a predetermined distance; and a synchronizing signal transmission part for transmitting a synchronizing signal to a transmission/reception terminal in the transport equipment. The server includes a content transmission part for transmitting the information content corresponding to the predetermined position to the transmission/reception terminal on the basis of the synchronizing signal. The synchronizing signal transmission part transmits the synchronizing signal when the distance between the measurement position and the predetermined position is within a predetermined distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
