The choke coil can be incorporated in a separating filter network or an interference suppression circuit. The core is made from a ferrite or carbonyl iron or a similar sintered or pressed powdery magnetically conducting material. The coil is smaller than the equivalent conventional coil and has a larger inductance and a lower ohmic resisance. The windings (5) f the coil are embedded in a core cap (1) with an external casing, a cover (2) and an internal bolt forming an integrated unit. The central bolt stem is shorter than the external casing, and which has cut-outs (9).
