The seed drill consists of a drill wheel which works in conjunction with a seed box nozzles, in which a single grain is h eld by suction. After the suction has been terminated, the seed is ejected from the nozzle into the ground. The radially outer part of the drill wheel, at least, is in the form of a rotating body. The seed box has an opening shaped so that part of the drill is closely enclosed by it. During part of its rotation, the drill wheel moves inside the seed box. An air nozzle blows any seed sticking to the drill wheel back into the seed box.
