The delay mechanism is pref. for fuzes of rotating missiles and similar. The series of functions is kinetically delayed. The mechanism is initiated by rotation. A channel is provided in the rotation axis to accommodate roller elements. The latter are so arranged that they move from a starting to an end position within the pre-set time by the effect of centrifugal force. A block is provided to hinder the movement of the roller elements until the delay mechanism has been subjected to the externally-applied initiating forces. A movable initiator is situated between the magazine part-holding the roller elements - and a receptor in the channel during the rest state. The initiator can move the roller elements by cyclical movement from the magazine to the receptor portion.
