<p>The vapour extractor unit for kitchen hobs etc. is provided with slots (1, 2) mounted lengthwise in the hood facing inwards so as to produce an X-shaped air current above the pots, pans etc. on the hob Thus the incoming air supply from the room does not flow directly beneath the hood but more predominantly at the expansion point of the hot vapours so that there is no draught caused around the head of the hob user. The vapours are drawn up through to the filter (3) in a controlled manner. The slots are separated from each other by a fat collecting channel (6) which can be adjusted up or down to widen or narrow down the slots. The air current direction can be altered by rotating the fat channel.</p> |
