The self tapping screw is used for fastening components of safety belts. The head socket (4) has a central and deep socket (5) with walls (7) almost parallel to longitudinal axis of the screw. Radial grooves (6) project from the central opening. The bottom faces (10) run between the outside edge of the bottom face (8) of the central socket (5) and the screw head surface at a cone angle approximately 20 deg.-35 deg. and preferably at 25 deg.-30 deg. to the screw axis.
