This ski binding can be adjusted along the ski to any required position. The binding (1) is fixed on a sliding plate (3). The edges of the rails (4, 5) are folded into a 'U' - shape to fit onto guide rails (7, 8) fixed to the ski. On one guide rail (7), on its inside is a row of teeth (9). In front of the front binding is a profile plate (11), connected to the slide plate (3), which carries one adjuster mechanism (10). The adjuster consists of a knob (12) connected by an axle to a cog wheel which meshes with the teeth (9) on the guide rail. By inserting the ski stick in an opening (19) in the knob (12) so that a button is depressed which operates a mechanism (22) to free a lock plate (23), the knob can be rotated thus moving the harness along the ski to the required position.
