Plate press feed and delivery arrangement - has carriage with clamps at feed end and suction pads at delivery end

The arrangement for forming a heat resistant surface on panels, such as hardboard panels, includes a feed conveyor (11) for a plate press (2) followed by a delivery conveyor (3). Between them travels a carriage (5) which equals the length of the plate press, with clamping devices (6) at the feed end and suction devices (7) at the delivery end. The clamps hold down the material (GR) to be treated, and the suction devices retain the treated material (GV). This carriage travels on rails (4) supported each side of the press and the delivery conveyor. These fittings are at about the level of the lower press plate (8). The clamps are swung into position and are mounted on the ends of the longitudinals (9) of the carriage. The suction devices are supported from a cross member (10) mounted across and above these longitudinals.
