<p>The infra-red radiator of ceramic material, is designed for use with controlled heating applications, and has provision at the rear of the element for supports and electrical connections, and a thermostat for automatic control of the temp. The point of attachment (5) of the thermosensitive element is embedded in the ceramic body of the element (1) away from the regions of the fixings and connectors (2, 2'). The sensor location is midway between the supports and the outer edge of the element, and between two of the heating coils of the element. The arrangement permits maximum accuracy of temp. sensing and control with protection of the sensor from mechanical damage or oxidation and corrosion.</p> |
