The bearing housing consists of a flange (17), a ring shaped part (14) and a thin flexible section (18) which are all three moulded in one piece from e.g. a fibre reinforced plastic. A sealing cap (5) can be mounted in the ring shaped part (14). The ring shaped part (14) supports the outer ring of a bearing in its bore (2). The sealing cap has a felt ring groove (9) which fits over the shaft supported in the bearing. The sealing cap has a tapered outside dia. and a rim (15) so that it can be pushed into a conical bore in the ring shaped part, in which it is held by the rim. The sealing cap can be replaced to suit various sizes of shafts.
