<p>The device is for joining steel tubes of varying dia. in framework or scaffolding construction. It is made up from two mutually rotatable halves, pref. of drop-forged metal, each comprising pressure plate (13), folding turn clamp (12) connected by a pivot pin (18) and a threaded bolt (19) with must (19a). The core of rotation (14) is shared between the halves, made in two parts, and welded or riveted with a connecting piece. It has two geared rims facing each other in the form of discs. There may be similar geared rims on the pressure plate, force-locking onto these when coupling takes place.</p> |
