<p>The automatic cattle feed mechanism consists of an outlet (1) with a flange (2) at the inlet end, for attaching the spout. The spout (1) ends in a hollow, flexible, truncated-cone shaped mouthpiece (3). In the centre of the spout (2) on the underneath side is an opening sealed by a fabric bag (4). A throttle slide piece (3) regulates the flow of grain from the container into the bag. At the bottom of the bag is a disc (6) sewn or stu k to the bag the bottom of which touches a tilting lever (7) which protrudes into the mouthpiece (3) and pivots on a horizontal axle (8). The free arm (9) of the lever (7) ends near the top of the mouthpiece. The side of the spout (1) in the radial bottom half of the mouthpiece (3) is pulled forward to near the end of the mouthpiece.</p> |
