<p>The emergency brake of the compactor roller has a plate (6) resting against the stomach of the operator with a rod (6a) which slides in a guide piece (6B) fixed to the steering controll. The abdomen-positioned plate (6) can move forwards towards the roller, and operates by means of a rod (6a) on the end of a lever (7). The lever has a hinge(8) on a support forming part of the steering wheel. The other end of the lever is connected to a pulley cable (17) by means of a hook (18). The cable is joined to a reversing lever with hinge on a support on the roller frame. The other end of the reversing lever is coupled to a link hinged to a square thrust rod, guided by a fixed sleeve. The thrust rod consists of a cam acting on the link and forming part of the control linkage (15). The cable is regulated by an adjusting screw (24).</p> |
