Liquid fuel burner double recycling system - has sloping blades ahead of burner and air return tube alongside Venturi

A liquid fuel burner has a fuel supply tube (25) carrying an obturator (26) passing through a Venturi chamber (15), with axial travel to vary the air flow between them. Behind the Venturi chamber is a fan (22). Immediately ahead of the tip (18) of the burner is a ring of sloping vanes (27) which cause a turbulence of partly unburnt gases so as to form a recycling arrangement giving improved combustion. A U-shaped tube (29) alongside the fuel supply tube has a feed end (30) near the Venturi region and a discharge end (32) alongside the blades (21) of the fan. This forms a second recycling system, having about half the recycling effect of the front vanes (27). A flap valve (31) is inside the U tube to control the flow through.
