<p>Inner lining for injection moulded polyurethane footwear consists of a sock or stocking which is impregnated externally with a vinyl acetate polymer or copolymer, partic. a vinyl acetate-butyl acrylate copolymer. Coating is applied by dipping a textile sock or stocking, pref. pulled over a shoe moulder, into an aq. dispersion of copolymer. After lifting sock from dispersion, adhering coating is dried, pref. while keeping sock tip downwards. Coating prevents penetration of water or polyurethane components through lining on further processing of sock and firmly bonds polyurethane to lining.</p> |
