<p>The movement damping unit is esp. designed for the carriage of a typewriter or similar office machine and has a brake piston and cylinder with a passageway for a damping agent. The passageway (54, 55) opening can be closed or partially opened by a three arm swivel plate (38) operated by a three arm lever (28) which is movable in the one direction by a first function part, e.g. margin stop, or in the other direction by a second function part, e.g. a tabulating slide. By controlling the through put of damping agent different braking forces are available for the different functions.</p> |
