Plastics laminated webs are produced in that the extruded foam plastics tube, which is slit longitudinally past a calibrating mandrel, is coated with a layer of plastics material which is extruded onto the tube between the cooling station for the outer skin and the cooling of the inner skin and calibration by the mandrel. Extrusion is effected onto the divergent part of the tube. Laminating rollers are dispensed with and crushing of cellular structure is prevented. Pref. the extruded plastics layer is exposed to partial vacuum which is effective in a direction opposite to the web movement.
