These portions engage co-operating portions on a fixed base-plate to hold the battery in its position of use, typically by a friction fit. Forms of positive lock additional to or forming part of the co-operating portions are disclosed. The drawings (not shown) illustrate these and two arrangements of the co-operating parts, one in which the projecting portions are truncated wedges and another in which they are effectively studs with enlarged heads.
