The travelling road line marking machine has a chassis, on a front drive wheel and two rear wheels, with a side laying-shoe fed with fluid marker from a tank. Ahead of this there is an indicator. The drive wheel with its motor can turn through a full circle, and together with the laying-shoe is controlled from the driver's seat. - The drive unit's axis of rotation (24), and the driver's seat (29), between drive unit and laying-shoe (32), are offset towards the laying side. The indicator (34) at the chassis (21) front can swivel through 180 deg. and can be fixed in its setting. The driver's view is improved, and straight lines can be laid more rapidly, and curved lines more accurately.
