An insulating covering layer is provided over joints or holes in a case which is used for housing a set of electromechanical relays. It consists of a material with high capillary suction power, and the material is saturated with a sealing compound which is processed as a thin liquid, as in 26 16 299. One or more addition parts (5), are flued to the relay (1) by the sealing compound which is stored in the covering layer (3). The sealing compound penetrates all intensities, sealing them against ingress of moisture.
