Test probe is connected to the end of the cable of a test instrument and is engaged by tightening a threaded slot around the terminal to be tested. The contact support has two contact blades (11, 12) whose ends can be adjusted one relative to the other by means of a bush (2). The bush provides the clamping force. The ends of the blades are engaged in the threaded slot. The terminal contact ends of the blades can be adjusted to two positions and will lie in parallel planes when in the opposition. The end profiles of the blades are banana shaped and have a limiting surface at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the contact support.
