<p>The conveyor has two endless chains each fitted with pushers moving the bars onto a roller track located at 90 deg. to the conveyor, and pref. carrying the bars one by one to the saw. the pushers are aligned in rows, so all the pushers in one row engaged with a bar. A synchronised drive unit moves all the chains stepwise until one row of pushers meets a stationary limit stop on the clamping device fitted to the saw. The working surface of each pusher pref. consists of a roller so friction and wear between the pushers and the bars is reduced. The pushers enter guide rails near the roller track, limit switches stopping the conveyor at desired positions.</p> |
