<p>A dispensing and affixing device for postage stamps includes a housing in which is located a device for moistening a stamped surface and a magazine for the postage stamps A prop is movable in a downwards direction against a force of a spring. The prop activates the moistening device and then moves a postage stamp on the stamped surface and ultimately presses the stamp against the surface. The magazine (6) consists of a top and bottom open enclosure (7, 8, 9) in which is positioned a stack (10, 11, 12) of the postage stamps with their adhesive surface facing downwards. The stack (10, 11, 12) is prevented from falling through the enclosure (7,8,9) by holding edges. The magazine (6) is moved against a force of the spring (26) on the stamped surface and during its upwards movement the prop is brought in a position on the stack (10, 11, 12).</p> |
