Haemolysis soln. for blood glucose determn. - comprising sodium fluoride, potassium oxalate and (4)-chloro-(3)-meta-cresol

Haemolysis soln. for determination of blood glucose comprises an aq. soln. contg. NaF, potassium oxalate and 4-chloro-3-m-cresol (I). A pref. soln. contains (per litre double-distilled water): 0.5 g. NaF, 0.5g. potassium oxalate and 1.0 g. (I). NaF inhibits glycolysis and (I) has bacterial effect, eliminating the necessity for the soln. to be freshly prepd. The soln. allows small amts., e.g. 20 mu l, to be used.
