Protecting, preserving and renewing rubber and polymers - by applying compsn. cont. pp polysiloxane fluid, water and water miscible polyol

A preservative compsn. cimprises and emulsion of 1 water emulsifiable organopolysiloxane fluid (I) having viscosity 100-10000 CSTK and 65-5000 wt % on (I) of water, and 15-65 wt % on (I) of 1 water miscible polyol cpd. The compsn. is non-toxic and protects against deterioration of rubbers, vinyls and acrylics and even leather and wood due to environmental stresses such as UV, ozone, dirt, water and grease. It is particularly useful for ca tyres, rubber sealing strips, vinyl tops, furniture coverings industrial belting, plastic mop board est.
