The biasing means 28 comprises a unitary spring element 44, Fig. 4, having a leaf spring 46 provided with a notch 42 which is adapted to engage the pinion shaft. Disengagement of the gear mesh is prevented by a column 47 having an end surface 49 which is adapted to abut a surface 50. The mechanism is applied to a friction wheel measuring device. |
