摘要
1491597 Drilling machines; stands; cooling STABILATOR AB 16 Sept 1975 [16 Sept 1974] 38003/75 Headings B3C and B3B A machine for drilling holes in structural building elements, such as walls and floors, comprises a frame 2, 3, 4 along which a drilling bar 18 carrying a drill bit (not shown) and driven by drive means 17 is fed as shown by hand rotated lead screw 5 acting via plates 7, 8, 9, Fig. 2, on carriage 14, 16. A container 22 which may be circular, as shown, or semicircular, which is used when drilling holes in a floor near a wall or vice versa, collects spent drill bit cooling liquid and the slurry formed during drilling. The cooling liquid is fed in at 13. The container rests on the workpiece via resilient rings 23, 24, Fig. 3, and the space between the rings may be connected to a vacuum source via pipe 25 to retain the machine on the workpiece by suction. Brackets 26 for bolting the machine to the workpiece may also be provided. The slurry and spent cooling liquid rises up or passes along through a frusto-conical collar 27 and over its lip so as to inhibit rotary flow and it leaves through pipe 28. Hinged supporting plates 29 support bar 18 during initial entry into the workpiece. Frame pillars 2, 3 may be welded to the container or detachably secured. Screw 5 may be rotated alternatively by a motor and driving means 17 may be a motor or a gear driven by an external motor through a flexible drive cable.
