1490979 Excitation circuits for synchronous motors CAV Ltd 21 Nov 1974 [22 Dec 1973] 59676/73 Heading H2A To enable the excitation of the field winding 22 of a brushless synchronous motor to be independent of rotor rotation, the field winding is connected to the rotatable secondary winding 20 of a transformer 18 whose primary winding 17 is connected in circuit with an inverter 19 which feeds the stator winding 13 and is connectible to a D.C. supply 16, the field current being derived from the ripple which inverter operation superimposes on the D.C. drawn from the supply. A rectifier 21 is placed in circuit between the transformer secondary and the field winding.
|
