The group of tubes comprises candles (3) of porous tubes secured to an end plate (11, 12) at each end. The porous tubes (5a, 5b,...5n) of each candle are assembled by insertion and brazing of the end skirts of their tips (6). The candles (3) are assembled into at least one bundle by resilient clamping collars (21) at the tips (6). These tips (6) have a diameter which is greater than that of the body of the porous tubes (5a, 5b), with the result that the contact between the candles of the same bundle takes place at the skirts of the tips (6).
