An halogen lamp for road vehicles has an optical filter to comply with the regulation of certain countries. The lamp has two filaments (2, 3) in an internal bulb (1). It has an intermediate socket (8) into which is fitted the bulb (1). A cap (7) holds the intermediate socket (8). and fits into a collar (10). A filter bulb (12) is fitted over the internal bulb (1). The optical filter bulb (12) has a rim (13) with two indentations. A ring clip (15) is used to fix the filter bulb (12) onto the intermediate socket (8) and cap (7). The clip (15) has strips (16) which fit into the indentations of the rim (13).
