<p>The immersion cooler has an evaporator for immersion in a liquid and shaped so as to enclose a central space for the liquid, through which a current is generated by an agitator. A pipe delivers coolant from the output of a refrigerating compressor via a condenser to the evaporator, which is connected at the top to the compressor intake. The pipe (5) runs in a spiral pattern inside the evaporator (3) for its entire length, being in contact, for heat transfer, with the evaporator wall furthest from the central space, thus preventing ice formation on the outside of this wall in service. The evaporator itself can be a spiral tube.</p> |
