The apparatus for washing the body consiss of a number of rotating brushes (2) mounted on a base (1). The base is fixed to two arms which can rotate or slide on a tube (5) fixed to the wall (P) of a bath or shower so that the apparatus can be adjusted. It is connected by a flexible pipe (12) to a water supply and the water passes through tubing in the base to the external face of the brushes. The brushes are surrounded by a supple skirt which prevents the water being sprayed out laterally.
