<p>The double lamp standard has two or more housing mounted on the same column for erection between two one-way roads. The two housings (1a,1b) and the column (3) are in the same plane parallel to the roadway centre lines, and each has a lamp and lens lighting one or the other of the roadways. The front mirror of each lens lights the roadway opposite. Both lamps and lenses can be adjustable, and the lengthwise axes of the lamps can be at roughly 90 deg. to the roadway centre line. The lamp can be aimed in opposite directions, and the lenses of the two housings can be on the same axis parallel to the roadway centre line and intersecting the mast at right angles.</p> |
