<p>The infant's safety seat is intended for an automobile etc. and is designed to be secured by a conventional seat (1) belt (7, 8). The seat has a backrest (3) of which the vertical edges are returned (5) forward through 90 deg. The resultant lateral returns (5) are provided with an extensive vertical slot (6). The slots (2) may be traversed by diagonal (8) and lap (7) seat belt straps. The slots (6) terminate in basal hook formations of which the tongue (10) provides positive location of the lap belt (7). The top of the side walls (5) may be rounded and the chair may inc a seat (4) with padded arm-rests (11). A padded head-rest may also be included.</p> |
