<p>The hydrodynamic brake, esp. for an ultra high-speed electrically driven railway vehicle, has a main control device for setting the brake's filling level. There is an auxiliary control device which releases the brake connection in the event of an emergency signal. With a filling control valve and overflow valve fitted, this device can be a pressure-medium-setting cylinder (76) or other setting device linked to the filler control valve, moving this into the max. filling level setting if an emergency signal is received. This can be readily used as the only dynamic brake on vehicles capable of 300 km/h.</p> |
