<p>The convertible chair bed comprises at least three upholstered parts of same width. They are connected together by hinges. The back rest cushion is divided into front and rear section so that the front section has the height of a normal back rest but has a substantially reduced depth compared to the rear section, the height of which is the same as half the seat height of the chair. Thus on unfolding the chair into the bed position, the rear section of the back rest cushion forms a part of the bed surface as normal whilst the front narrow part forms a foot end support thereby keeping the bed linen in place. This foot end support points out to the centre of the room.</p> |
