Shaped pipes are produced by hammers. The pipe is turned during the machining and this rotation is interrupted at the moment of the impact by the top half of the mould. The pipe axis is offset downwards up to a given depth, according to the kind of the profile. Every kind of shape can be achieved by cold deformation. The movement of the striker hammer with the mould top section can be achieved via an electric brake motor, wedge belt, flywheel, and then via a linkage with lever and leaf spring assembly.
