CATHODE-RAY TUBE HAVING IMPROVED LINE-SCREEN STRUCTURE A tube has a faceplate including a cathodoluminescent line screen thereon. The faceplate is substantially rectangular with curved, rather than straight, sides. A slit apertured mask is mounted within the tube in spaced relation to the screen. The substantially vertical columns of slits are related to the surface contours of the faceplate and mask, the edge contour of the sides of the faceplate, and a deflection angle of the tube. The end cathodoluminescent lines at the horizontal sides of the screen are formed so that they are parallel to the edge contour of the sides of the faceplate. |
