The time recorder generates selectable time pulses which are fed by an electromagnet into the driving mechanism of the recording medium. The drive takes place with the aid of an electromagnet (1). Its armature (2) acts mechanically via a pawl (3) and also gears (4) upon the feed roll (5) for the recording medium (6). The feed roll (5) drives the winding roll (9) for the recording medium (6) via a driving belt (7) or chain etc. and a known friction clutch (8). The correcting feed time pulses are given onto the driving magnet (1) by means of a switch and a separate pulse generator. Recording lines are electrically masked by contact springs (10).
