Clip mounted stand support for printed circuits - can be used for mounting board while offsetting it from neighbouring surfaces

A simple clip mounted stand-off or offset element for use with printed circuit boards can be used for mounting the card in a variety of different ways while offsetting it from neighbouring surfaces. The element, which is mounted through a hole (1) in the printed circuit board (2) consists of a cylinder of elongated section which spring fits into the hole to give a roughly top hat shaped protrusion (9) on one side of the card and a triangular protrusion (7) on the other. This can be used for mounting a board in a slot, on a holding bracket or on a back plate.
